Every time I hear that someone has passed away, I find myself wondering:
Could anything have been done to extend their life?
Sometimes the answer is no.
But if you’re still here, and you’re healthy enough, the odds are still in your favor.
You can do something.
Got a belly that’s growing every year? Deal with it now.
High blood pressure? Bring it down.
Stress running your life? Learn how to slow down and become calm.
Hate your job? Stop complaining and create a written plan to change it.
Relationships struggling? Have the conversation. Do the work. Make the effort.
More often than not, we know what needs to be done.
We just don’t do it.
Maybe the first thing that needs to change isn’t your circumstances.
Maybe it’s your identity.
Maybe it’s deciding you’re the type of person who takes responsibility for their life.
This is the work I do.
My life is far from perfect, but I can honestly say it’s magnificent.
Not because everything goes my way.
Because I know where I stand, and I keep moving forward.
Start with one thing:
Move your body every day.
Tired after a long day of work?
Create the energy.
Go for a walk.
Get outside.
Keep moving.
It’s amazing how incredible life can feel when you start taking care of yourself.
The best years of your life may still be ahead of you.
