Walking isn’t just a way to get from one place to another—it can change your life. It certainly did for me.

Growing up, walking was simply a part of our everyday routine. My dad served in the British military, and my childhood was filled with walks, like it was second nature. We didn’t think about it much; we just walked.

Then, in February 2015, my life took a massive turn. My brother passed away from cancer, and walking became something deeper for me. It helped me process my grief. But as I walked more, something unexpected happened—I started getting incredibly fit, both physically and mentally. I felt stronger, and walking became something I craved, not just needed. It was freeing.

Over time, my love for walking grew. Now, nearly a decade later, I take on walks that are 50 miles long—and I often do them alone. It’s become my sanctuary, my time to reflect, and my way to feel alive.

If you’re looking to boost your health or clear your mind, start simple. Take that first step—whether it’s five minutes or five miles. You never know where it might lead.

Walking doesn’t just move your body; it moves your life forward.

Where will your next walk take you?
